Pedestrian, 16, Struck and Killed in Palms

Two cars were involved in collision that killed a 16-year-old. The 16-year-old was struck by at least one vehicle and killed while crossing a street in Palms on Tuesday, police said. The crash occurred about 7 p.m. at Venice and Robertson boulevards, said Los Angeles Police Officer Jane Kim. Two cars were involved, but it was not clear what role each played in the fatal collision. The teen, whose gender was unknown, was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead, Kim said. The drivers of both cars stopped to render aid.
